Determining ProductID for Autodesk software

Issue:

You need to determine which ProductID (ACAD-####:###) corresponds to which software in order to edit registry entries related to AutoCAD or an AutoCAD-based product.

Solution

To determine the applicable ProductID for an Autodesk product, use the tables below:

ProductID Structure

ProductIDs have the following structure:

Rxx.x\ACAD-<ProductID>:<LocaleID>

For example,
R16.0\ACAD-201:409 = AutoCAD 2004 English
R16.1\ACAD-301:409 = AutoCAD 2005 English
R16.2\ACAD-4001:409 = AutoCAD 2006 English
R17.0\ACAD-5001:409 = AutoCAD 2007 English
R17.1\ACAD-6001:409 = AutoCAD 2008 English
R17.2\ACAD-7001:409 = AutoCAD 2009 English
R18.0\ACAD-8001:409 = AutoCAD 2010 English
R18.1\ACAD-9001:409 = AutoCAD 2011 English
=====
R9\  ACADLT-201:409 = AutoCAD LT 2004 English
R10\ACADLT-301:409 = AutoCAD LT 2005 English
R11\ACADLT-4001:409 = AutoCAD LT 2006 English
R12\ACADLT-5001:409 = AutoCAD LT 2007 English
R13\ACADLT-6001:409 = AutoCAD LT 2008 English
R14\ACADLT-7001:409 = AutoCAD LT 2009 English
R15\ACADLT-8001:409 = AutoCAD LT 2010 English
R16\ACADLT-9001:409 = AutoCAD LT 2011 English

Note 1: This structure applies only to the products listed below and may or may not reflect the structure of ProductIDs in the future.

Note 2: for the Rxx.x look at this table

AutoCAD / AutoCAD Verticals        AutoCAD LT

2004 = R16.0                                2004 = R9
2005 = R16.1                                2005 = R10
2006 = R16.2                                2006 = R11
2007 = R17.0                                2007 = R12
2008 = R17.1                                2008 = R13
2009 = R17.2                                2009 = R14
2010 = R18.0                                2010 = R15
2011 = R18.1                                2011 = R16

Note 3: if you do not see your version here ie (2010, 2011), refer to the secondary installer instructions for your product and version.  They are located in the “secondary installers” category.  You will see a registry entry that will correspond to the one specified in this post.
