Plotting Issues : Top 10 Questions To Ask
I understand that plotting a drawing from AutoCAD 2010 can take multiple hours before it starts plotting.

I’d be happy to help you with this issue, but I’ll need some more information about it in order to start troubleshooting. Please answer the following questions:
1. What plotting device are you using?
2. What driver version are you using for it?
3. Is the plotter connected directly to the computer or over a network?
4. What OS are you working in? (XP SP3 32-bit, Vista Ultimate 64-bit, etc.)
5. What is the orthophoto file size?
6. How was the orthophoto inserted into the DWG (insert raster image, OLE, etc.)
7. Does the drawing show correctly in print preview?
8. Is the issue limited to just this drawing? If you insert this same orthophoto into a new drawing do you get the same issue when attempting to plot?
9. Do other raster images of comparable size work?
10. What are the spool settings on the Advanced tab in the Windows Properties of the plotter?
