Secondary Installer AutoCAD LT 2010

Issue

To reset the default AutoCAD LT® 2010 user settings, you want to initiate the secondary installer.

Solution

To reset the AutoCAD LT 2010 default user settings, you must first delete your application files and registry entries for the program. Follow these steps:

Note: Make sure that you back up any customized AutoCAD LT 2010 files before starting this procedure. CLICK HERE FOR STEPS

1. Log on to the workstation as the user.
2. On the Start menu (Windows), click Run.
3. In the Run dialog box, enter regedit.
4. In the Registry Editor, locate the following subkey and delete it:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT\R15\ACADLT-8001:409

5. Exit the Registry Editor.
6. In XP using Windows Explorer, locate and delete the following application folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2010 (backup this directory first)
C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2010

7. In Vista / Windows 7

C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ AutoCAD LT 2010 (backup this directory first)
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Autodesk\ AutoCAD LT 2010

The user should now be able to launch AutoCAD LT 2010. When the product is opened, the files and folders that were deleted will be recreated by the secondary installer.

Warning! Problems caused by improperly editing the Windows registry could render your computer operating system unusable. Microsoft provides a wealth of critical information that you need to know about the registry in the Microsoft Knowledge Base at http://support.microsoft.com/support.

Use the Microsoft® Registry Editor only at your own risk and only after backing up the registry as well as the system.dat and user.dat files as outlined for your operating system in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and in the related solution, TS66513. Additional information about the registry is also contained in the Help topics in the Microsoft Registry Editor.

Wblock – the file that is output is always in the 2011 DWG or DXF format

Issue:
I understand that when you use the WBLOCK command in AutoCAD Map 3D 2011, the file that is output is always in the 2011 DWG or DXF format — even if you select another format, such as 2004 or 2007.
I am sorry that you have had this trouble.

Known BUG:
This issue actually occurs because of a known code defect. The defect is present in the 2011 versions of AutoCAD and AutoCAD-based “vertical” applications.
We do not have any information about exactly when a fix for this defect will be released. Tentatively, this defect is planned to be fixed in the first major product update for each of the 2011 applications.

Workaround:
In the meantime, the recommended workaround is to use the command-line version of the command; that is, type -WBLOCK (with a hyphen in front) on the command line. The issue of the output file always being in the 2010 format occurs only when you use the dialog-based version of the command.
I have linked this Support Request to the entry for this defect in our database of product “change requests.” You might receive some automatically generated “change request” follow-up e-mail messages as a result.
